Q: What if I'm not sure if I want to do the show?
A: Just join us! While we want our performers to take this commitment seriously, we realize you may be on the fence with trying something new. We'd much rather you come try it for a few weeks and then decide to leave than not try it because you're not sure.
Q: What songs will we be doing?
A: You can find a list of working songs at this link here or this spotify playlist.
Q: I’ll be out of town during that time, can I still join the show?
A: YES. Part of the registration process is we’ll send out a list of dates and you tell us what days are conflicts, we’ll work around it.
Q: Who is directing the show?
A: It's being directed by Jubel Obien and Music Director is Jeff Ricca.
Q: Where & when will rehearsals be?
A: Rehearsals will be in RIVERSIDE on Thursdays, and NORCO on Sundays, but not every Sunday. You can view a list of the rehearsal dates here. Times and days change as the show gets closer.
Q: What was the inspiration for this show?
A: It was written by Rockstars of Tomorrow Riverside & Las Vegas owner Don Miskulin. As an Air Force Veteran and an honorably-retired Riverside Police Officer , Don wanted to put together a special production for American's 250th Anniversary this July.
Q: How do I join?
A : We have now started rehearsals, so if you are interested in doing the show come to the next rehearsal so you can meet the team and we can answer any questions for you. If you'd like to join a rehearsal or two you are welcome to come check it out before commiting.
Q: Is there dialogue or just music?
A : This is a cabaret style show with a lot of music however there are many dialogue opportunities telling the story of what led up to the revolutionary war. We have something for every performer, from those who like choreography, for our actors, and lots and lots of singing.
Q: What if we can't afford the program?
A: We realize the cost for our program might be out of reach for some. We do hire professional directors and a tech team for the best performer and attendee experience possible but this does increase our budget. That said, we don’t want anyone to miss out due to cost, so if you would like to either a) donate towards our scholarship fund you can do so at rockstarsrising.org or b) if you’d like to apply for a partial or full scholarship you can fill out the scholarship application form here.
